Abstract: This World Wide Web (WWW) site, created by the American Mathematical Society (AMS), is designed principally to serve AMS members and professional mathematicians by providing employment news, information about conferences, and publications. Of particular interest to teachers is a Government Affairs and Education section which includes recent articles on math education from Notices of AMS, information about the Math Olympiad (a contest for math students), and news about legislation dealing with education. The site also offers numerous links to other mathematics sites. (JRS) |
