Abstract: This World Wide Web (WWW) site, maintained by the Frostburg State University Chemistry Department, provides numerous online resources for understanding general chemistry principles. A library of over 800 common compounds, feature articles, and tutorials are included as well as a glossary and researchable database of more than 400 links to general chemistry web references. Supplementary materials for the college's General Chemistry 101 course are also available, consisting of an index of lecture slides, companion notes, and an exam survival guide. Additionally, users have the opportunity to subscribe to a monthly email newsletter that highlights changes, updates, and new features of the web site. (Author/JG) |
